About The Role
In your role as Head of Service at HC-One, you’ll value one thing above all: kindness. It carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist Care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As Head of Service, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. This includes assisting with and preparing cakes for the morning tea trolley and lunchtime desserts/cakes. You’ll demonstrate the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, showing new starters how to use equipment, or cleaning spills from inside the oven, resident well-being will always be your priority.
HC-One is looking for someone with kitchen experience who is aware of The Food Safety Act 1990, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, and COSHH regulations. Great record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with residents or colleagues, you should be considerate and kind—after all, it’s just in your nature.
