We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. We are a vibrant and diverse team and are looking for a motivated audiologist to join us in providing the best possible service to our patients always incorporating the Trust’s CARE values.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication, organisational and IT skills who can work autonomously and to effectively prioritise their workload in accordance to both local and national guidelines.
This post is for a full time (37.5 hrs/week) and permanent position. The base for this post will be Wycombe Hospital although the successful applicant may be required to cover clinics at other sites.
You should have a BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification and will be registered with the AHCS or HCPC. You should have experience in new diagnostic and rehabilitative care.
Main duties of the job
As a Paediatric Audiologist you will be part of a team delivering a diagnostic audiology and hearing aid service to children in Buckinghamshire as well as having special responsibility for ensuring the provision of a particular aspect of the service. You will be working in a newly completed and equipped Paediatric Audiology Suite
General
As a Paediatric Audiologist you will provide a range of audiometric investigations and a comprehensive hearing aid service to both adult and child population.
1. To undertake highly specialist diagnostic evoked potential testing, including Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR) and Aided Corticals
2. Organises and participates in delivering training to multi-professional groups including junior members of staff.
3. Assist with the daily operational management of the department and workforce.
4. Analyse and integrate complex data from a number of sources and communicate the information to patients, relatives and carers of hearing impaired children (involves sensitive support and counselling where they may be significant emotional distress).

Essential criteria
5. MSC or BSc Audiology or MTO: BAAT I & II, BTEC MPPM or equivalent
6. Minimum of 2 years post qualification NHS Clinical experience
7. HPC or RCCP Registered

9. Assessment, fitting & verification of digital hearing aids
10. Undertakes vestibular & electrophysiological assessment and act appropriately on findings
11. Experience of diagnosis and paediatric fitting and verification

13. Experience of MHAS and MCHAS implementation
