Posted on behalf of an individual employer: We are looking for a kind, patient and proactive Personal Support Assistant to provide one-to-one care for a gentleman living with dementia in his own home. Your Responsibilities This role focuses on maintaining a high quality of life through companionship and physical support: - Clear Communication: You must be able to communicate clearly, warmly, and patiently and communicate with the family - Personal Care: Assisting with washing, dressing, and hygiene with the utmost dignity. - Daily Living: Preparing light meals, assisting with feeding medication reminders, and ensuring a safe, comfortable home environment. -General domestic support:Light housekeeping and laundry, assisting with shopping and putting them away in kitchen - Community access: Assisting with mobility and attending appointments where necessary and accompanying to outings About You - Excellent Communicator: You have a clear speaking voice and the ability to adapt your communication style to the needs of someone with dementia. - Patient & Calm: You understand that dementia requires a slow, steady pace and a reassuring presence. - Good Communication: able to communicate any concerns and requirements to family Why Apply? - A Personal Connection: You won't be just a carer; you'll be a companion making a direct impact on someone's happiness. - One-on-One Environment: Skip the rush of a care home and focus on providing quality, unhurried care. - Competitive Pay: Up to £13.85 per hour.
