We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy and forward-thinking engineering team at our Oakham site. This Maintenance Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of moulding machines, automation equipment and ancillary systems, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in both reactive and planned maintenance, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Engineer
* Provide shift breakdown cover on moulding machines, automation equipment and ancillary equipment
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all relevant machinery and systems
* Diagnose and repair faults in an efficient and safe manner
* Support and implement improvements to manufacturing automation processes
* Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to achieve shared business goals
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
* Promote and adhere to safe working practices at all times
* Comply with all company policies, procedures and regulations
* Support training and development of colleagues alongside the Maintenance Supervisor
* Deliver improvement targets including OEE within area of responsibility
* Assist other engineers as required
Qualifications & Requirements – Maintenance Engineer
* Time served engineer with an electrical bias, ideally multi‑skilled
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
* Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
* Injection moulding experience would be advantageous
* Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to improving equipment performance
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
