Job Duties:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and informative food technology lessons to students
2. Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans
3. Assess student progress and provide feedback
4. Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment
5. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
Required Qualifications:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Degree in Food Technology or related field
8. Experience teaching food technology at secondary school level
Education:
Degree in Food Technology or related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching food technology at secondary school level
Knowledge and Skills:
9. Strong understanding of food technology principles and practises
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Ability to engage and motivate students
12. Organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
13. Postgraduate qualification in Education
14. Experience with exam board specifications
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional participation in extracurricular activities and events.
