Head of Operations & People @ Oliver's Travels

As Oliver’s Travels continues to grow, we’re looking for a People & Culture Manager to lead our People strategy, shape an engaging employee experience, and ensure our team is set up for long-term success. This is a standalone role, offering plenty of autonomy and scope to influence and shape our People function as we scale. It’s a great fit for someone who’s confident balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. You'll work closely with senior leadership and own key People initiatives across the business, with the flexibility to bring in additional support as needed. If you’re a commercially-minded people professional who enjoys building inclusive, high-performing teams, this could be your perfect next step.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic People Leadership

* Align the People strategy with business goals and lead key organisational change initiatives, including acquisition integration
* Partner with senior leaders to support high-impact decision-making.
* Own the People budget, including headcount planning, benefits and systems.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand

* Lead our hiring strategy to attract and retain top talent.
* Build and strengthen our employer brand.
* Ensure DEI is embedded across recruitment practices.

Culture, Engagement & Development

* Champion a high-performance, inclusive culture that reflects our values.
* Design and deliver L&D and leadership programmes to support growth.
* Drive engagement through regular feedback and practical initiatives.

Employee Relations & Compliance

* Advise on complex employee relations matters with fairness and consistency.
* Keep policies compliant, clear and up to date.
* Support and coach managers on best-practice people management.

People Analytics & Insights

* Use data to inform decisions and improve retention and employee experience.
* Enhance reporting and systems to boost automation, compliance, and access to insights.

Key Skills & Attributes

* Strong HR experience in a fast-paced, scale-up or high-growth environment.
* Demonstrated success in managing change and integrating teams during business transitions.
* Strategic mindset with hands-on delivery capability.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Commercially aware, with a data-led approach to People strategy.
* Confident working independently, with the initiative to shape and grow the function as needed.
