Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. As an officer in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team, you will monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day correspondence
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure that our records are accurate and up to date
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act

The Reservoir Regulation team is part of the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The team is nationally dispersed (25+ members) and responsible for regulating more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. Some travel and overnight stays will be required.

Additional information and requirements
This is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). This is a national role, so you can be based at any Environment Agency office. All joining staff must undertake training and participate in incident response duties when required. An incident role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency.
