About Our Client
Page Personnel are looking to recruit for a large well-known and growing professional services business. As they have experienced recent growth they are now looking for an Payroll Officer to join the finance team in Sheffield on a permanent basis.
Job Description
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
3. Utilising the time and attendance system to record and keep employee records up-to-date
4. Updating employee personal information records and communicating to verify and revise as needed
5. Running and reviewing payroll reports using the appropriate software and maintaining precise practices, records, and filing systems for auditing purposes
6. Validating working hours to ensure accurate reporting
7. Addressing internal and external payroll inquiries, including those from employees, HR, Finance colleagues, HMRC, etc., in a precise and professional manner
8. Precisely issuing P45s and P60s within the designated time frames
9. Developing standardized operating procedures for all payroll processes
10. Conducting root cause analysis on errors and implementing procedures to minimise mistakes
The Successful Applicant
11. A proven track record within a similar role
12. Proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel
13. Attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness in all tasks
14. Effective written and verbal communication skills in a professional manner
15. Exceptional organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
