Job Overview
We are seeking an experiencedWorkshop Controllerto lead the front of house operations within a busyHGV and Van workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring smooth workflow, efficient job scheduling, and strong communication between service reception and the workshop team. This is anoff-the-tools role, focused on running the day-to-day operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and control workshop loading and job scheduling
* Act as the link between service reception and technicians
* Ensure jobs are timed correctly and completed efficiently
* Motivate and support a team of 1012 staff
* Liaise with technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs, and training needs
* Maintain smooth daily workflow and maximise workshop productivity
* Ensure high levels of communication and organisation across the team
* Support service advisors and front-of-house operations
Requirements xsngvjr
* Previous experience as aWorkshop Controller or similar role(essential)
* Strong background inHGV or Van workshop environments
* Excellent people management and communication skills
* Ability to organise workload and prioritise effectively
* Confident leading and motivating a team
* Strong understanding of workshop processes and job timing
