What You Will Be Doing As an ELV Team Leader, your responsibilities will include: Proactively leading the ELV cost centre, controlling costs, and addressing potential or actual issues. Driving continuous improvement across your department and team. Ensuring the ELV depollution process is completed in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Managing and setting goals to meet ELV production targets. Overseeing the proper handling of waste products such as waste oils and tyres and organising their collection. Ensuring the secure and timely collection of catalytic converters. Managing purchasing responsibilities and maintaining consumable levels. Highlighting and supporting training needs for your team members. Promoting health and safety best practices and addressing SHEQ concerns. Participating in quarterly SHEQ site meetings. Supporting the Operations Manager with hiring, training, and resolving internal and external issues. Encouraging and communicating with team members, including sharing goals, toolbox talks, and updates. Providing exceptional customer service by answering queries and resolving complaints. Strategically working with ELV support functions to grow ELV volumes. Planning and managing team holidays and absences in conjunction with the Operations Manager. Handling day-to-day activities such as: Booking in vehicles. Forklift operation to transport vehicles (training provided). Removing components such as tyres, batteries, and catalytic converters. Removing fluids including fuel, oils, and coolant. Using tools and equipment effectively (training provided for air conditioning removal). Basic tablet and computer use. This is a hands-on role, so you’ll never be bored! About You You’ll excel in this role if you have: Exceptional customer service skills. A successful track record as a team leader or supervisor. The ability to lead and manage teams while driving performance improvements. We’re also looking for someone who: Is happy to get their hands dirty. Can handle the physical demands of the job. Thrives in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy periods with customer vehicle drop-offs.
