The successful candidate will be expected to provide effective and efficient driving support function to the Force. They will undertake the supervision of the Norfolk based driver team ensuring all driving and logistical tasks are undertaken and completed efficiently, cost effectively and within specified time deadlines. You will also undertake, as and when required, any driving duties associated with the driver team i.e. mail delivery, collect and return of vehicles, collection and return of property, DNA samples, fingerprints, etc. Some tasks will be required out of county.
Essential Criteria
1. Ability to use own initiative to make decisions and provide leadership to the Driver team.
2. The ability to be reactive to the dynamic and constantly change driver resource environment.
3. Basic key board skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
4. Good organisational and planning skills, with a strong focus on understanding and delivering
customer requirements.
5. Flexibility in terms of responding to the day to day requirements of the unit/Constabulary.
6. Knowledge of general Health and Safety requirements, particularly in relation to manual handling,
loading and cleaning tasks.
7. Good communication skills both oral and written, ability to deal with colleagues at all levels within
the organisation
8. Holder of a full driving licence.
