A highly regarded offshore law firm is seeking an Associate to join its market-leading Trusts & Private Wealth team, supporting the firm’s pensions practice across Jersey and Guernsey. The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers recognised for their expertise in this area, gaining exposure to a broad range of complex and high-value pensions matters. Applicants should be Commonwealth qualified lawyers with 2–4 years’ PQE with a solid grounding in pensions law, ideally gained within a leading onshore or offshore practice. Strong technical ability, sound judgment and excellent drafting and advisory skills are required. The ability to work across offices and to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues is essential. Key aspects of the role include: Advising on the establishment, restructuring and operation of pension schemes. Drafting scheme documentation, trust deeds and supporting instruments. Providing guidance on regulatory and compliance issues affecting pension arrangements. Working across the firm’s Jersey and Guernsey offices, with occasional inter-island travel. Supporting senior lawyers and contributing to business development initiatives.
