Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to join the team, delivering stimulating and differentiated lessons for students with diverse additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging, tailored lessons in line with individual EHCP goals
Manage small class groups with the support of skilled Teaching Assistants
Employ varied teaching strategies to enhance communication, engagement, and independence
Apply positive behaviour management techniques to support learning
Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams to meet pupils’ unique needs
Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification
Has proven experience in SEND settings, whether mainstream or specialist
Exhibits patience, adaptability, and a student-focused approach
Strong skills in classroom management and effective communication
Passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for all students
