GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join a vibrant school in Hathersage. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring educator to deliver high-quality PE lessons that foster students’ physical development, resilience, and sportsmanship.
Role Overview:
As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages. You will encourage participation in a variety of sports and physical activities while promoting healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and personal growth.
Responsibilities as a PE Teacher:
Plan and deliver practical and theoretical PE lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Promote active participation, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards health and fitness.
Assess student performance and progress in both practical and theoretical areas.
Organise and support extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and school events.
Uphold behaviour expectations and ensure a safe learning environment for all pupils.
Requirements for the PE Teacher role:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
A degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
Experience teaching PE in a UK school setting.
Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
A commitment to promoting physical health and student well-being.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
