Business Development Director, Manchester
Location: We are flexible on location as this is a hybrid role that can be based from home; however, regular travel will be required for meetings at both our and our client’s offices.

What you’ll do:

We are seeking a dynamic, business development-focused Business Development Director to lead client relationships, strategic growth, and operational performance within our Utilities division.
* Drive sales and develop new business, collaborating with operations teams to deliver seamless service and identify cross-selling opportunities.
* Act as the strategic lead for our clients within the Utilities division, ensuring long-term partnerships and high satisfaction.
* Acquire new clients, retain existing ones, and grow revenue through relationship management, service excellence, and contract expansion.
* Monitor market trends and industry insights to inform strategies and stay ahead of competitors.
* Oversee contract renewals, variations, and change control processes for compliance and efficiency.
* Report on key performance metrics to senior leadership to ensure continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager or Director with proven experience in business development, client management, and account leadership within a service sector or tier 1 contractor.
You should be a natural salesperson and relationship-builder, confident in liaising with executive stakeholders and negotiating contracts.

* Data-driven mindset to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
* Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
* Experience in a field-based role with understanding of contract mobilization and service operations.
