Your Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for HGV Technicians eager to work with a prestigious logistics company, servicing and repairing a modern, well-maintained fleet of vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to repair and maintain our HGV fleet, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. You will actively seek solutions to challenges and embrace a safe and efficient approach to your work.
Key Details
* Location: Bridgwater Depot (TA6 6DF)
* Contract: Full Time / Permanent
* Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7
* Salary: From £20.04 per hour - £26.69 per hour
* Premiums:
o Overtime rate - 1.125x hourly rate
o Saturday - 1.125x hourly rate
o Sundays and bank holidays - 1.5x hourly rate
o Unsociable hours (6pm - 4am) - 14.25% hourly rate
Your Responsibilities
As an HGV Technician, your role will include, but not be limited to:
* Inspecting and maintaining our HGV fleet
* Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and transporting them to the test centre
* Recording vehicle defects and maintaining accurate records of work carried out
* Repairing minor accident damage
* Conducting fault diagnosis
* Prioritizing safety in all aspects of your work
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload
* Qualifications: City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
* Commercial experience with HGVs is essential
* Class C+E licence is preferable but not essential
