As a SEND Graduate, you will gain invaluable classroom experience while supporting pupils with a range of needs, such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Working alongside experienced teaching staff, you will provide tailored support to help students thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support tailored to the specific needs of pupils.
* Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks.
* Help students build confidence, emotional regulation, and independence.
* Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to implement support strategies.
* Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
* Support pupils during therapy sessions, play-based learning, or sensory activities.
Ideal Candidate:
* A degree in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields are desirable).
* A genuine interest in working with children with SEND.
* Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Previous experience in a school or care setting is essential.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
* Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
