Salary: £48,500 (rising to £62,000 on completion of a 2-year training programme)
Contract Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Panama - Early & Late Shifts (No Nights)
Location: Commutable from Wellingborough, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Market Harborough, Leicester, Daventry & Rugby
About the Role
We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with either a Electrical or Mechanical bias to develop within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of production machinery in a fast-paced general manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
·Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
·Diagnose faults and complete root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
·Support continuous improvement and machine reliability initiatives
·Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime
·Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance with company procedures
Experience & Skills Required
·Hands-on experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
·Previous work in a manufacturing, engineering, or FMCG environment
·A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
·Strong teamwork and communication abilities
·Willingness to learn and progress through structured training
(Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential - practical skill and experience are key.)
