Teaching Personnel is working with a supportive and passionate SEMH provision within the Gorton area. The students all have SEMH needs such as challenging and disruptive behaviour, Autism, low self-esteem. We are seeking a proactive, patient, and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a Year 9 pupil, helping them re-engage with learning and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, helping them engage with learning and daily school activities. Implement personalised strategies to manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation in line with the pupil’s individual support plan. Assist in delivering tailored lessons and interventions, adapting resources to meet the pupil’s specific needs and learning style. Monitor and record progress, reporting observations to the class teacher and SENCO to inform ongoing support and planning. Offer emotional and social guidance, helping the pupil build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, always following safeguarding procedures and school policies.
