The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will support your store team in driving sales performance and daily operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service to enhance KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are at the heart of everything we do. You will be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to provide an outstanding shopping experience.
We are looking for individuals who:
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting targets through KPI focus.
* Deliver market-leading customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Offer VIP concierge services, actively contacting customers with updates and tastings.
* Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge and sell the story, not just discounts.
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Maintain the store's appearance and operational standards internally and externally.
* Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising, stock deliveries, and customer outreach to drive sales.
* Identify and suggest improvements to optimise store operations.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements.
* Lead by example and support junior team members, feeding back to your Store Manager.
* As a key holder, manage store opening and closing procedures confidently.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Self-motivated, capable of working independently and in a team.
* Positive attitude with problem-solving capabilities.
* Adaptability and resilience.
* Strong communication skills.
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential for passing level 2 WSET.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

* Contract: Fixed Term until 31/12/
