Role overview

Location: Chippenham, Southpoint Business Park, SN15 2NU

Salary: £42,432 per annum + Overtime

Working hours: 06:00 to 18:00 Mon to Fri - 4 on 4 off shift pattern (60 hours per week)

Contract Type: Perm, Full-Time

About the role

Role overview

To supervise a professional security officer team, which carry out daily tasks as specified to create a safe and secure working environment for all visitors and staff, whilst always ensuring good customer service is provided whilst doing this.

What you’ll do:

1. Display excellent situational awareness and problem solving ability.
2. Expected to comply with and demonstrate a positive commitment to a high level of customer service, professional presentation, and confidentiality throughout the course of their employment.
3. Facilitate access/egress to the client’s estate whilst maintaining a high level of client facing and customer service skills and ensure this service provision is staffed appropriately.
4. Be aware of protest and demonstration activity and respond/escalate as appropriate.
5. Actively take part in assisting staff, guests and contractors, public bodies regarding the passing of information, giving direction or responding to queries that are raised in a professional manner.
6. Be fully conversant with all client/EMCOR UK procedures and policies and train team on them.
7. Assist as required during major incidents.
8. Maintain accurate records/logs and submit reports as instructed and review quality of incident reports written by team before submission.
9. Ensure that client confidentiality is fully always respected.
10. Always display your SIA licence whilst on duty.
11. Positively participate in any staff welfare or development programmes and to actively engage in any mandatory training and ensure your team members also comply.
12. Use communication tools (radio/phones) in a confident and clear manner
13. Provide guidance and direction to security team as required.
14. Attend client meetings as requested.
15. Act with integrity always
16. Carry out any other reasonable request as required.

Who you’ll be:

17. Clearance to BS7858
18. SIA Licence – Security Guard (SG)
19. SIA Licence – Door Supervisor (DS) (if applicable to scope)
20. SIA Licence – CCTV (if applicable to scope)
21. First aid qualification
22. Customer service experience
23. Written and verbal communication required to meet deliverables of role
24. Experience of using IT software (MS Office)
25. Reliable, presentable, punctual and approachable.
26. Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
27. Comfortable to work alone using initiative and work as part of a team
28. Good at proactive problem solving
29. Flexible in the approach to daily duties.
30. Proactive, conscientious and diligent

Desirable

31. Supervisory experience
32. Previous security/HM forces experience
