Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Secondary School

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Watford on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes under the direction of teaching staff
*
Support students across KS3 and KS4, including those with additional learning needs
*
Assist in planning, preparing, and adapting learning resources
*
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
*
Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion in the classroom
*
Provide classroom cover where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
HLTA status, diploma, or a relevant qualification (desirable)
*
Experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly KS3 and KS4
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach
