We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Assistant Resident Services Manager to join our team, delivering on-site lettings and property management services for a vibrant build-to-rent residential development in Reading. You will be the first point of contact for prospective and existing residents—from initial enquiry and property viewings through to move-in and ongoing tenancy support. This is a dynamic role combining lettings, resident engagement, and operational coordination, with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional resident experience. Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for enquiries, conducting viewings and progressing offers Manage the full lettings process including applicant vetting and tenancy documentation Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong relationships with residents Foster a sense of community through resident engagement, communication, and events Ensure apartments and communal areas are presented to a high standard at all times Coordinate maintenance issues, contractor appointments, and defect repairs Carry out regular inspections of apartments and communal spaces Support check-in and check-out processes, including deposit returns Assist in organising minor refurbishment works between tenancies Maintain clear and effective communication across teams and with residents Support Health & Safety compliance across the development Coach and support on-site team members where required What We’re Looking For Strong customer service background with a resident-first approach Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Highly organised with strong attention to detail Confident decision-maker with the ability to think on your feet Friendly, approachable, and professional personality IT literate and comfortable using social media platforms Good understanding of financial processes and accountability Ready to take the next step in your build-to-rent career?
