GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming school in Blyth. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students overcome behavioural challenges and achieve their full potential. Role Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You’ll provide one-to-one and small group interventions, helping students to develop coping strategies, improve their classroom engagement, and build positive relationships. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Support pupils with challenging behaviour and emotional needs. Deliver tailored interventions and promote positive behaviour strategies. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams. Monitor behaviour and progress, reporting concerns when necessary. Provide a calm, consistent, and nurturing presence throughout the school day. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs. A compassionate, patient, and solution-focused approach. Excellent communication and behaviour management skills. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
