Your New Role
Our client is seeking to recruit a multi-skilled, Shift Maintenance Engineer / Technician. Based within the Maintenance Department you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing facilityprising of both preventive and reactive duties. You will act as a member of the Central Services Maintenance team and will take the lead role in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery forming part of the manufacturing plant. You must also be willing to perform maintenance tasks for production output support as part of a team.
Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Rectify and support electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently and effectively •municate and record any changes andplete relevant maintenance documentation • Work as an integral part of an engineering team • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others, ensuringpliance with all safety regulations • Carry out routine/preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanicalponents of the plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner • Ensure that all works are carried out to a high standard as expected.
Ensure all H&S (Health and Safety) procedures are adhered to including Permit to Work,ply with thepany LOTO system at all times •ply with Health & Safety requirements: as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc. • Report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to your line manager immediately • Attend training as required to maintain personal qualificationpetence •ply with thepany Equal Opportunities Policy and promote equality • Any other duties as required by line management,mensurate with the post holder’s level of training andpetence • Create maintain & enhance effective working relationships with key stakeholders • Any other duties as deemed necessary.
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Desirable ( Due to the nature of the role preference will be given to applicants demonstrating the following desirable criteria:)
BTEC HNC/HND qualification in an engineering discipline • Previous experience or working within regulated environments • Knowledge of control systems within automated equipment.
