About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small team in our showroom and workshop office.
We are a small and friendly team, on Saturdays you will work alongside our Sales Team in the showroom and during the week you will support our two goldsmiths with the admin side of our jewellery production.
We are looking for someone with a love of fine jewellery to be responsible for liaising with customers throughout their bespoke journey with us.
We are looking for someone to join us five days a week, with at least two Saturday shifts a month.
Responsibilities
Full training will be given for all the tasks below, there will be a month-long handover with our current staff member to ensure that you are confident in all areas of the role.
1. Communicating with new and existing customers in a timely manner over email, including quoting for bespoke pieces of jewellery.
2. Assisting customers in the shop with bespoke jewellery enquiries, including designing and quoting for new pieces of jewellery.
3. Social media promotion and website content creation documenting bespoke items in blog posts and using a social media scheduling application to promote our business on our social channels, including looking after customer enquiries and comments.
4. Macro jewellery photography on a DSLR and editing in Lightroom.
5. Uploading new products to the website, creative writing product descriptions & SEO.
6. Creating newsletters using Mailchimp or Flodesk.
7. Communicating clearly with our local CAD designer to create models of orders, relaying amendments from the customer to the CAD team.
8. Build relationships with our local suppliers, including frequent trips around the Jewellery Quarter to collect and drop off items.
9. Assisting in the ordering and purchasing of diamonds, gemstones and materials for new and existing orders
10. Accurate recording of post into and out of the workshop via UPS & Royal Mail
11. Creating valuations for insurance for bespoke jewellery items.
Requirements
12. Experience of the jewellery trade.
13. Fluent in English with confident and friendly communication skills, including strong written English skills as liaison via email is a large part of the role.
14. Organisational skills are key- ensuring that all orders are noted correctly and entered on to our till system and explained to our goldsmiths clearly.
15. Confident computer skills able to use Windows & Mac, as well as Outlook email client, Excel & Word. You will also be working with our stock label printing software and our website POS system. (full training given)
16. Able to provide excellent customer service face-to-face, over the phone and via email.
17. Confident when working independently.
18. A keen eye for detail.
19. Works well in a busy and occasionally noisy environment
20. Keen interest in developing knowledge in diamonds, gemstones and jewellery manufacture.
What We Offer
21. The working day hours are:
9.30am 4.30pm Monday Friday and
9am 4.30pm on Saturdays
22. We are offering an annual salary of £30,000 for a five day week position.
23. You will be expected to work a minimum of two Saturdays a month, so the working week would run from either Monday Friday or Tuesday Saturday.
24. 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
