🔧 About the Role
As Production Manager, you will lead all operational activity across a high-volume manufacturing site, overseeing key functions such as production, warehousing, packing, dispatch, and maintenance. You will be instrumental in driving performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP).

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of c.50 across 3 rotating shifts
*
Drive schedule adherence, production utilisation, and on-time delivery
*
Champion a safety-first culture while upholding environmental responsibilities
*
Implement lean manufacturing principles including 5S and IRMS
*
Lead performance improvement projects across cost, quality, and throughput
*
Coach and develop supervisors and team members to exceed performance expectations
*
Oversee warehouse, packing, dispatch, and temporary management of maintenance
✅ What You’ll Need
*
3+ years’ production leadership experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting
*
Strong command of ERP systems, planning tools, and Microsoft Office
*
A proactive mindset with the ability to manage change and deliver results under pressure
*
Demonstrated experience of driving KPI improvement across SQDCP metrics
*
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (preferred)
🎯 KPIs by March 2026:

Schedule Adherence > 80%
*
Production Utilisation > 80%
*
OTD > 90%
*
Past Due Backlog < £50k
