Job Description
Our client, a global organisation, urgently require an experienced SATCOM Engineer to join their department on a permanent basis.
In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:
* Extensive background within military SATCOM systems
* Knowledge of system design, ground segment design, satellite operations, and payload engineering
* Understanding of RF engineering, waveform design, antenna design, propagation, link analysis, satellite network protocols, and air interfaces
* SC Cleared
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Manage a variety of communications systems engineering tasks on advanced communications networks and related services
2. Lead and manage technical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams
3. Design and layout communications systems, including network architecture and link budgets, ensuring compliance with industry standards
4. Apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for ground segment and/or communications payloads
5. Conduct system-level analysis, performance assessments to enhance communication capabilities; troubleshoot system issues and perform data analysis and reporting
6. Support design, develop, and prepare validation, verification, and testing (VV&T) strategies and plans; specify environments, facilities, and equipment for testing complex satellite networks
