Purpose of the Role
The Site Controller oversees essential site operations—including utilities, maintenance, security, access control, fire safety, and cost management—ensuring smooth, safe, and compliant functioning. The role also ensures adherence to health, food safety, and hygiene standards, safeguarding employee welfare and product integrity while maintaining legal and certification compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Utilities Management
* Refrigeration (Plant Room): Maintain optimal temperature control for stored goods.
* Power Supply: Monitor electricity and generators to ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Water Supply: Oversee water systems for reliable supply.
Site Operations & Maintenance
* Ensure cleanliness, repairs, and upkeep of warehouse, yard, and offices.
* Manage access control, surveillance, and security responses.
* Maintain CCTV systems and backup footage.
* Test and maintain fire alarms, extinguishers, and evacuation procedures.
* Control expenses related to utilities, repairs, and contracts.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
* Enforce safety compliance, PPE use, and environmental standards.
* Develop and maintain SHE policies aligned with legislation and standards.
* Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
* Lead investigations and corrective actions for incidents.
* Deliver safety training and conduct toolbox talks.
* Maintain and test emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid.
Food Safety & Hygiene
* Oversee HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO/FSSC 22000 systems.
* Ensure hygiene compliance in production, storage, and handling areas.
* Conduct internal audits and prepare for external reviews.
* Investigate non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain records and conduct staff food safety training.
People & Team Management
* Manage team scheduling, leave, attendance.
* Organize and lead meetings.
* Provide coaching, development, and address IR matters.
* Support team in achieving performance objectives.
