Overview
Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an Associate (NQ – 2 PQE) to join its Real Estate Investment and Development team. The role sits within a well-established Real Estate group and offers exposure to high-quality commercial property work across a broad range of sectors.
The successful candidate will work on transactions involving commercial land, including retail, industrial, telecoms and office assets, with opportunities to advise on complex, multi-disciplinary projects alongside colleagues across the firm.
The Role
You will be involved in a wide range of commercial real estate matters, supporting developers, investors and public and private sector bodies on transactions of varying scale and complexity.
The role offers excellent early responsibility, client contact and the opportunity to develop technical expertise across investment, development and real estate finance work.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising on a broad range of commercial property transactions for developers, investors and public and private sector clients
* Handling sales and acquisitions of commercial property
* Asset management work, including landlord and tenant matters
* Supporting real estate finance transactions, including preparation of CLLS Certificates of Title and management of conditions precedent
* Advising on development, regeneration and joint venture projects
* Working closely with colleagues in Corporate, Banking & Finance, Litigation, Projects & Construction, and Energy & Sustainability teams on complex, multidisciplinary matters
* Managing own files in line with Lexcel procedures
* Building, maintaining and where possible developing strong client relationships
* Actively participating in marketing initiatives and firm-wide and departmental training
About you
* Qualified Solicitor with a completed training seat in Real Estate
* NQ – 2 years’ PQE
* Strong technical ability with the confidence to take responsibility and progress matters independently where appropriate
* Client-focused, with a strong commitment to service delivery
* Well organised and commercially aware
* Strong academic background
