Commercial Director – Major Infrastructure Project
Location: Thurrock, Essex (Hybrid – 3 days on site per week)
Employment Type: Contract (INSIDE IR35) long term

Morson Talent are supporting the search for an experienced Commercial Director to join a landmark UK infrastructure programme in the highways sector.
This high-profile project requires a senior commercial leader with the ability to provide strategic oversight, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and ensure commercial excellence throughout the delivery phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commercial strategy for a large-scale highways project.
Oversee contracts, procurement, and supply chain management.
Provide guidance on risk management, governance, and compliance.
Support the senior leadership team in driving value and efficiency.
Manage and mentor commercial teams to deliver project objectives.
Candidate Profile:
Proven track record in senior commercial leadership on major infrastructure or highways programmes
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and large-scale procurement.
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on delivery.
Working Pattern: The role is hybrid, with an expectation to be on site in Thurrock three days per week.
