Site Leader – Level 2 Cranbrook Your Current Base Site Permanent, Full-time About the Role We are looking for a committed and proactive Site Leader (Level 2) to take responsibility for the day-to-day operational and safety performance of our Cranbrook site, as well as your current base location. You will lead and develop a team of drivers and administrative staff, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations. The role involves managing the distribution of cylinder gas supplies, optimising vehicle and driver utilisation, and maintaining high standards across safety, compliance, and customer service. You will also hold responsibility for a high-tier COMAH registered site, ensuring full compliance with both internal policies and external regulatory requirements. This is a key leadership role for someone who is passionate about continuous improvement and who can promote a culture where safety, service excellence and right-first-time delivery are paramount. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for daily operations, ensuring delivery schedules are executed efficiently. Maintain safety standards in accordance with statutory, COMAH and HSE requirements, acting as a keyholder and attending emergency callouts as required. Ensure full compliance with all policies, including cash, stock, and cylinder reconciliation. Champion a customer-focused culture across all areas of service delivery. Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and employee performance. Manage the training, development, and performance of all site-based staff. Monitor and control fleet compliance (including CPC, WTD/RTD, tachograph records, and vehicle maintenance). Maintain secure site operations, liaising with internal safety teams and regulatory authorities as needed. About You You’ll be an experienced leader with a strong background in operational site or transport management, and a passion for safety and team development. You will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and be confident in managing both people and process compliance. Essential Skills and Experience: Proven people management and leadership capability. Strong organisational skills with a focus on performance against KPIs. In-depth understanding of transport regulations and statutory requirements. Extensive experience in a supervisory or management role. Sound knowledge of employment legislation. IT literate and confident using operational systems. CPC qualification. Experience managing a high-tier COMAH site. Desirable: ADR certificate or experience working with hazardous goods. Formal safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH). Financial management experience. Why Apply?
