Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. The position is based at their HQ in Winfrith.
This is an office-based role, working office hours from Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.
While based at Winfrith, flexibility to travel to Ferndown premises may be required. Please note, this post is temporary until March 2026.
The purpose of the role:
* To design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure police officers, staff, and other members meet the force's requirements and priorities.
* The focus will be on delivering initial and force training programmes across defined geographic areas, including specific targeted training for staff groups. Posts are based in Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, prepare annual training schedules, and design, develop, and deliver various training packages, including initial and force training.
* Deliver training as a facilitator/lecturer across other areas as needed, due to the generic nature of all training posts.
* Design and deliver on/off-the-job training packages, including written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, utilizing available technology and innovative delivery methods.
* Identify individual and organizational training needs through training needs analysis, consulting with management and staff to ensure training aligns with National Occupational Standards and best practices.
Note: Due to Police criteria, applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years. Less than this will not be considered.
