Regional People Partner- FTC role at City Plumbing
Overview
We are hiring a Regional People Partner to support our Branch Network across the full suite of People activity, including change and transformation, embedding a culture of high performance, and ensuring colleagues are supported to deliver outstanding service for customers. The role focuses on partnering with regional leadership, coaching, and delivering people work streams that create commercial value across regional leadership, branch operations, and regional sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop an effective coaching partnership with leaders to enable them to deliver their goals and accelerate the performance growth of their teams, developing their own leadership capability along the way.
* Create people plans with key stakeholder areas to focus and deliver people activity requirements in topics that will add the most value.
* Build a map of talent to support career development, performance support requirements, and external recruitment needs.
* Act as a critical friend with the operational and sales leadership teams to help them deeply explore both their people and their own functional strategies to ensure activity is focused towards key outcomes.
* Provide ideas and challenge, acting as a catalyst for change, and as an expert for implementing and embedding that change when it comes, using the Business Behaviours as key underpins.
* Grow deep relationships into the wider People & Culture function to have the necessary MI needed to influence your business area, whilst providing constructive feedback to the central P&C teams to ensure the People Experience is excellent.
* Develop an understanding in your business area of why diversity & inclusion are valuable for business growth and creating a high performance culture, offering challenge and support to build a culture of belonging and leaders who cast an inclusive shadow.
* Measure and evaluate key metrics at the right time to influence people strategy.
* Travel to branches within your region as required, typically 2-3 days per week.

Skills and competencies
* Previous multi-site responsibilities, coming from either retail, hospitality, or merchants.
* Experience in a matrix organisation
* Leading delivery of people projects with significant change and high cost implications.
* Experience in a delivery-focussed operational environment.
* Analysis of data to deliver business insight.
* Driving appropriate outcomes in challenging/high priority ER cases.
* Bags of drive and energy to be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* Understanding of current HR practices/trends and up-to-date employment law knowledge
* Although it is not essential, it may be beneficial to be studying towards or already have a CIPD qualification
