Position: Credit Control Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller / Directors
We are currently seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Credit Control team. You will oversee a small team of Credit Controllers and be responsible for all credit control activities within the company.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a team of credit controllers.
2. Oversee credit control operations and debtor accounts, ensuring adherence to company policies, credit, and payment terms, and conducting credit checks.
3. Produce and analyze debt reports, reporting risks, variances, and action plans.
4. Forecast cash flow on a monthly basis.
5. Maintain reports on credit applications, payments, bad debts, and provide relevant analysis.
6. Handle bad debt collection processes, including small claims and insurance claims.
7. Collaborate with the Sales Director to manage problematic accounts.
8. Resolve billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies within specified timeframes.
9. Support daily credit control activities as needed.
10. Develop strategic partnerships within the management team to promote communication and continuous improvement.
11. Review and maintain the company's credit policy.
12. Liaise with HR to meet staffing needs and ensure policy adherence.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
* Strong knowledge of credit control functions.
* Previous managerial experience in a high-volume billing environment.
* Ability to prioritize workload and lead a team effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Additional Details
Location: Head Office, Greysteel
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 per annum
