Job Title: Practitioner Psychologist

Location: Underley Gardens School, Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2DZ

Salary: Up to £70,000 (pro-rata, DOE) plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus (payable as £1,500 after one month and £1,500 after your final probation). T&Cs apply.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours overlapping with core school hours (part-time considered)

Contract: Permanent (term-time only or flexible full-time contract based on personal circumstances)

The Role:

We seek a Practitioner Psychologist to join our clinical team at Underley Gardens School. You will deliver psychological assessments and interventions to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs, working within OFG Practice Ways of Working. You will hold a psychological caseload with support from your clinical supervisor and contribute to school development, staff training, and consultation.

This role suits a resilient, creative, and enthusiastic individual committed to a person-centered, empowering approach, ensuring pupils are heard, respected, and involved in decisions affecting them.

Location: Underley Gardens School, Kirkby Lonsdale, part of our Options Autism brand, supporting children and young people aged 5-19.

Essential Criteria:

* Registered with HCPC
* Doctoral degree in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Educational Psychology (or equivalent for pre-doctorate qualified)
* Relevant experience working with similar client groups and settings
* Experience in multidisciplinary working, communication with families, and service development
* Competence in core psychological practice areas, trauma-informed practice, and neurodiversity
* Ability to develop formulations, intervention plans, and deliver training
* Excellent clinical record writing and IT skills
* Effective collaboration and problem-solving skills
* Ongoing CPD evidence
* Ability to make independent clinical decisions
* Good time management and organizational skills
* Willingness to travel and hold a full driving license

Desirable Criteria include experience with specific client groups, supervision skills, knowledge of legislation, and additional training in relevant interventions.
