Clinic Coordinator

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Clinic Coordinator in Breast Imaging to provide a high quality administrative service ensuring that the patient booking pathway is uncomplicated, efficient and helpful, reflecting the trust values and meeting the Trust’s performance objectives for outpatients.
Job responsibilities
* Provide a dedicated service to a designated specialty, working in partnership with consultants, secretaries and supporting registered staff in the delivery of high quality, individualised, dignified and compassionate care to patients.
* Liaise with the Breast Imaging team to offer a professional and efficient service to patients and service users, including dealing with booking appointments.
* Book, monitor and organise appointments and cancellations, and send out correspondences in accordance with NHSBSP guidelines and trust patient pathway timeframes.
* Monitor and run daily audits on BS Select to ensure all patient data is accurate.
* Run daily checks to ensure all correspondences have been sent and appropriate leaflets have been included.
* Cover reception for both screening and symptomatic clinics.
* Ensure patients are changed into gowns and use 1PM to create result appointments for patients that require follow up with the Breast Surgeon clinic.
* Maintain accurate patient records across systems such as NBSS, BS Select and CRIS and carry out regular audits, data checks and reporting to ensure compliance with national standards and KPIs.
* Support clinic delivery, coordinate imaging and follow-up appointments, and monitor patient pathways to prevent delays or breaches.
* Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams, contribute to training and service improvement, and support health and safety processes, whilst maintaining a professional, patient‑focused approach at all times.
* Any other appropriate duties which may be required to meet the needs of the service.
Person Specification
Education
* High standard of literacy & numeracy.
* Good communication skills.
* Experience in office administration.
* IT skills.
* Experience of working within a team.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of effective patient and customer care.
* Experience in working with deadlines and targets.
Skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise.
* Evidence of knowledge of radiology systems.
