Responsibilities
* Contact the client during on‑site fieldwork.
* Manage on‑site teams and assist in supervision and development of the team.
* Deliver high‑quality work to tight deadlines.
* Supervise audit teams on site, review the work of Associates and assist Senior Audit Managers in project management and client liaison.
* Report to a Senior Manager on large complex audit assignments and manage a small portfolio of clients as manager.
* Carry out work profitably and on a timely basis, in accordance with the firm’s professional standards.
* Support the team in delivering a quality audit timetable and provide insightful comments to report to the client.
* Contribute to a continuous improvement ethos for the team.
* Manage and lead assurance and risk management projects, liaise with clients, and prepare client reports.
* Manage and undertake statutory audits, being involved in all stages of the audit process from planning to completion.
* Show initiative and take responsibility for the management of the audit and your team to ensure completion within the agreed budget.
* Act as the principal auditor on assignments.
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, ICAI, AICPA, or equivalent).
* CCAB body membership required.
* Experience in working with complex groups, reporting structures, and liaising with component auditors is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to provide practical, proactive business advice for clients.
* Ability to identify control issues and refer significant or challenging issues to the partner.
* Strong knowledge of business cycle controls, audit risks, and business implications of absent, ineffective, or inefficient controls.
* Ensures adequate CPD is undertaken in relevant disciplines or client sectors.
