Salary: £140–£180 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

About the Role: Milk Education is working in partnership with a warm and welcoming Primary SEND School in L27, seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team full-time. The school caters to pupils aged 4–11 with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
You’ll be teaching a small class of around 10–12 pupils, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a multidisciplinary team. The role requires a creative, patient, and resilient educator who can adapt learning to meet individual needs and foster a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP targets and individual learning profiles
2. Use a range of communication methods including PECS, Makaton, and sensory strategies
3. Create a structured, safe, and engaging classroom environment
4. Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families
5. Monitor progress and contribute to annual reviews and assessments
6. Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
8. Experience working in SEND settings, particularly with ASD and PMLD
9. Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and safeguarding
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
11. A nurturing, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
