A well-established SEMH school in Essex, is looking for a full-time, permanent SEMH Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who thrives on supporting students who face barriers to learning - helping them to rebuild confidence, re-engage in education, and unlock their potential through creative and structured Maths lessons.
You'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a highly supportive environment with a strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities
* Use restorative and therapeutic behaviour strategies to manage the classroom
* Deliver differentiated, engaging Maths lessons tailored to SEMH learners
* Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs and EHCPs)
* Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals
* Foster a safe, nurturing, and consistent learning environment
* Track and report on pupil progress holistically and academically
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience with SEMH students or in alternative provision
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong subject knowledge in Maths (KS3-KS4)
* Resilience, flexibility, and a student-centred approach
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* Trauma-informed training or experience (desirable)
