Main duties of the job
1. Assessing and planning nursing care requirements
2. Building relationships with, reassuring, listening to, and talking to patients
3. Combating stigma and helping patients and their families manage it
4. Administering medication
5. Supporting patients with everyday tasks including personal care

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
* Minimum of 6 months MH RN UK (Private or NHS) hospital or prison experience within the last 2 years, or completion of a Return to Practice within the last 2 years
* NMC registration
* Experience in a mental health hospital setting
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to maintain high standards of record keeping
* Ability to work independently
* Proficiency in delivering patient care
* Completion of mandatory training
Qualifications
* At least 6 months experience as a Mental Health Registered Nurse or equivalent in a mental health hospital or prison within the last 2 years
* MH Nursing Degree and valid NMC registration
