Permanent, London, (Hybrid 3/2), £85k - £95k Bonus Benefits Infrastructure Analyst required to focus on backup and restore, disaster recovery and security hardening work in both pre-emptive and reactive capacity as part of a wider Wintel Engineering team. Working collaboratively with both BAU and Project teams within the infrastructure department you will undertake 50/50 mix of project work and reactive BAU work relating to virtualised environments (VMWare, vSphere) and related SAN storage technologies (such as Broadcom, Commvault, EMC etc). Your project work will focus on improving the environment(s) essentially working to strengthen the IT security position and your BAU work will focus on Disaster Recovery during major incidents. Core responsibilities will include: Design, management and enhancement of VMWare vSphere and related SAN infrastructure Management of infrastructure utilising HCI (Hyper Converged Infrastructure) tools SAN Storage Array management (EMC, Broadcom, Commvault etc) Reactive Disaster Recovery Management; Backup and Restore Automation of tasks utilising Powershell Scripts Liaison with Infosec teams to ensure compliance of the infrastructure environment Server Hardening and Cyber Security Engineering in partnership with the CyberSec Engineer(s) Implementation of security protocols inc SSO, MFA, PIM/PAM, PKI, Zero Trust policies etc Configuration of virtualised environments for related teams (Applications etc) and backup solutions We are searching for an Infrastructure Analyst, 3 rd Line Support Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer/Architect who can demonstrate: Extensive Wintel Engineering experience Windows Server, AD/GPo/Entra etc, Azure Cloud Expert level experience with VMWare vSphere management, deployment and hardening SAN storage expertise across a range of technologies such as (EMC, Broadcom, Commvault) Experience of backup and restore procedures within an virtualised infrastructure environment Reasonable capability with Powershell scripting for management and automation Exposure to HCI (Hyper Converged Infrastructure) tools such as VMWare vSAN, Dell VxRail, HPE SimpliVity, Cisco HyperFlex or Nutanix DESIRABLE Understanding of infrastructure security protocols PIM/PAM, PKI etc Experience and understanding of Cyber Security monitoring and response (infrastructure) Strong project delivery skills (SAN, VMWare); reactive BAU support experience Excellent communication skills able to engage with process driven depts such as InfoSec Strong opportunity to work across a number of fields gaining valuable experience with emerging technologies; solid training and certification support experience offered by this firm within Microsoft AZ and SC level certifications.
