Team Structure: You will join a friendly and supportive HR team comprising 2 Senior HR Business Partners and 2 HR Advisors. This role reports directly to one of the Senior HR Business Partners.

About the Role
We are seeking an engaging, motivated, and proactive HR Advisor to support both operational HR activity and HR related projects. This is a key role combining responsibility for Employee Relations (ER) casework often complex in nature, with significant exposure to project work, including:
* Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)
* Recruitment and resourcing initiatives
* Employee engagement activities
* Support and delivery of training and upskilling sessions for managers and colleagues
You will provide a professional, high quality HR service aligned to the organisation's People Strategy and operational needs. The role involves working collaboratively with organisational leaders, supporting organisational change, and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR practices.
You will manage complex ER cases up to and including dismissals, provide expert advice on HR policies and employment law, and act as Investigating Officer where required. You will also lead and support HR projects including EDI, wellbeing, engagement, recruitment, reward and job evaluation. The role also involves building effective relationships with managers and trade union colleagues, producing high‑quality HR documentation and reports, analysing HR data to support decision‑making, and working flexibly across the HR team to meet service priorities.
What We're Looking For
The role requires a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) with CIPD Associate membership, supported by up‑to‑date HR knowledge across employment law, employee relations, recruitment, EDI, wellbeing and reward. You'll bring experience managing complex ER cases and confidently handling a busy and varied workload, alongside strong IT and HR systems skills for producing accurate management information. Excellent communication and the ability to quickly build rapport are essential, as is a genuine commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and experience supporting or coordinating recruitment processes.
