Senior Portfolio Advisor EMEA, Managing Director – Citi
A key role within Citi’s Wealth business, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work with our wide range of investment solutions, from capital markets to trust services. The Wealth business delivers tailored services to affluent and HNW/UHNW clients worldwide, helping them meet their financial aspirations.
The CIO team, with around 100 employees worldwide, provides market views, risk‑management ideas, and new product development. As part of this team you will represent the CIO’s strategies to both internal stakeholders and external clients, driving investment solutions and client engagement.
Role
The Senior Portfolio Advisor, EMEA reports to the Head of Portfolio Advisory and brings entrepreneurial spirit, collaboration, and adaptability to a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Drive and deliver centralized messaging around the CIO Team’s strategy, views, and performance to field and clients.
* Collaborate with field leadership on business development opportunities and strategic planning on business targets.
* Serve as a strategic partner to broader CIO teams (research, portfolio management, the Lab, product) on messaging, advisor needs, and product development opportunities.
* Participate in the investment process alongside the CIO Strategy team to formulate views and underwrite investment recommendations for whole portfolios as well as thematic and tactical opportunities.
* Partner with investment solutions teams to align priority recommendations to views and new product development.
* Identify and initiate cross‑business opportunities with coverage teams and investment solutions.
* Ensure 100% compliance with all Citi policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* 15+ years of experience, preferably in developing and implementing investment strategies across EMEA.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with process‑oriented execution, with high attention to detail and quality for both internal teamwork and external partners.
* Deep knowledge of markets and multi‑asset class portfolio construction.
* In‑depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors’ products/services to support commercial objectives.
* Collaborative and enthusiastic partner across practices and businesses.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with interpersonal relationship‑management skills.
* Experience communicating across a variety of audiences and mediums.
* Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
