FOMO Rentals is a camera, lighting, and audio equipment rental house based in Shoreditch. We're a young, dynamic team of filmmakers passionate about supporting the UK’s creative industry. The Role
We’re seeking a Camera, Lens and Lighting Technician (Film and TV) to join FOMO. This hands-on role involves maintaining equipment, supporting clients with technical needs, and ensuring high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing, testing, and packing equipment for projects
* Diagnosing equipment issues
* Logging and organizing repairs
* Maintaining kit room organization and cleanliness
* Recommending new products and technologies
* Advising clients on setups and gear choices
* Assisting with preps and tests for customer crews
Who You Are
* Self-motivated, diligent, and detail-oriented
* Fast learner with proactive problem-solving skills
* Confident under pressure and adaptable to last-minute changes
* Knowledgeable about professional camera systems (ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon, Aputure, etc.)
* Good communicator, able to advise clients technically
* Ideally 1+ year experience in a rental house or 2+ years in a technical role on film/TV productions (e.g., Assistant Camera)
