Head of Sales – UK & Ireland Global Solar & Energy Leader
Remote (UK-Based) | Salary £100,000 Bonus + Car + Benefits
We're looking for a commercially astute and contract-savvy Head of Sales to lead the UK sales strategy for one of the world's top EPC and O&M providers in the solar and battery energy storage (BESS) space. This is a rare opportunity to shape the commercial future of a growing clean energy business while mentoring a high-potential team.
What You'll Do: Lead and develop the UK & Ireland sales team, enhancing capability and performance
Drive strategic sales initiatives across EPC and O&M markets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market expansion
Build and maintain long-term client relationships through expert engagement and networking
Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events
Review and negotiate complex EPC and O&M contracts with legal and technical teams
Guide the team in delivering commercially competitive and technically sound proposals
Collaborate with senior leadership to align UK sales with European growth strategy
Must-Have Experience: Proven experience negotiating EPC and/or O&M contracts—this is a non-negotiable requirement
Background in sales, project management, or procurement within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector
Strong understanding of commercial risk allocation, performance guarantees, and contract structures
Experience leading or mentoring teams, with a passion for developing talent
Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland, with occasional visits to Germany
Nice-to-Have: Experience in utility-scale solar or BESS projects
Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Degree in engineering, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
