Special Constables are part time, voluntary police officers who work in some of the most important areas of modern policing. Special Constables have the same powers, uniform and equipment as regular officers and work alongside our front-line as well as police staff to help keep our people, places and communities of Staffordshire safe.

Responsibilities
* Volunteer for 16+ hours of operational policing a month.
* Assist with investigative work and be a vital link between the police and communities.
* Work alongside frontline officers and police staff to keep Staffordshire safe.
Requirements
* Full manual driving license.
* Availability for an 18-week training programme on alternative weekends starting on 6 December 2025; attendance is mandatory.

* Attendance will be mandatory for all provided training dates.
