Job Description

ABA Class Lead\n\nHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (plus mandatory training until 5:00 PM one day per week)\nTerm: Term Time Only\nReports to: Consultant BCBA\nLocation: West London (multiple sites)\n\nThe Role:\n\nTo manage a class of six pupils and lead a team of six ABA/VB Tutors, promoting a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour (VB) principles.\n\nKey Responsibilities: \n\nLeadership & Management\n\nSupervise, train, and review performance of ABA/VB Tutors.\nConduct tutor inductions and deliver ongoing training using Behavioural Skills Training.\nMonitor data collection, program books, and learning progress.\nCoordinate classroom resources and budget.\nLead on new pupil assessments, reports, IEP reviews, and termly evaluations.\n\nSupport for Pupils\n\nAct as primary contact for parents and monitor home-school communication.\nDeliver 1:1 and group instruction using ABA/VB.\nDevelop IEPs and daily timetables with other professionals.\nMonitor and adapt pupil programs, behaviour support plans, and progress data.\nSupport personal care, social skills, and independence.\n\nSupport for the School\n\nPromote positive behaviour and lead on conflict resolution.\nSupervise pupils during non-classroom times and off-site activities.\nEnsure classroom hygiene and safety.\nContribute to whole-school events and community-based learning.\n\nProfessional Development\n\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of ABA/VB practices.\nWork towards a master's degree and BCBA or related certification.\n\nRequirements\n\nCommitted to further study in ABA, psychology, or a related field.\nAim to achieve behaviour analyst certification (BCBA/UKBA/BCaBA).\nAt least 2 years' experience working with children with special needs.\nStrong understanding of ABA principles and evidence-based interventions.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.\nAbility to manage challenging behaviour and support personal development.\nTrained in crisis intervention and de-escalation preferred
