About The Role
The Service Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of residents and in leading a team of support staff. This position requires a proactive and compassionate leader who can inspire and guide others while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing and reviewing person‑centred support plans and risk assessments
* Conducting audits and overseeing documentation and financial systems
* Managing schedules and providing direct support to the service
* Acting as a liaison for residents, families, and staff
* Participating in management meetings and representing the service externally
* Ensuring secure and compliant data handling
* Supporting staff development through supervision, appraisal, and training
* Addressing concerns and contributing to resolution processes
* Promoting safe working practices and conducting health and safety assessments
* Upholding regulatory standards and legislative requirements
Candidate Requirements
* Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, with a commitment to achieving Level 5
* Proven experience in team management, including rotas, appraisals, and disciplinary procedures
* Strong leadership and motivational skills
