Our primary approach involves prescribing clinical exercise as a means to prevent, manage, and enhance health conditions or injuries, emphasising the concept that "exercise is medicine." We focus on addressing a broad range of musculoskeletal, neurological, oncological, respiratory and cardiac conditions encompassing a range of health challenges such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, back pain and spinal pathologies, cancers, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, post-operative rehabilitation and active ageing. We use clinical exercise prescription and advanced personal training to tailor specific exercise programs to individuals of all ages, abilities, and accessibility levels.
Role Description
This is a part-time contractor role as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist / Exercise Specialist / Specialist Personal Trainer. The role is providing home visit appointments in a mobile working setting with autonomy over your own diary. The locations we are looking for someone to travel to will be in South-East London, including Bromley, Beckenham, Crystal Palace, Thornton Heath, Dulwich and surrounding areas.
Please note: The desired appointment times for our clientele are generally between 10am-4pm by our clients, so this would suit someone in a part time or flexible role.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for prescribing specialised exercise plans designed for the prevention, management, and enhancement of health conditions or injuries. You will work closely with individuals with a broad range of health challenges and assist in their active aging, using clinical exercise prescription and advanced personal training techniques. Your role will contribute to the concept that "exercise is medicine" and provide a specialised approach to chronic disease management.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Clinical exercise, Kinesiology, or a related field (desired)
* Certification in either Clinical Exercise Physiologist (desired) or Personal training and exercise referral
* Level 4 cardiac rehabilitation/stroke rehab/cancer rehab
Skills
* Demonstrated experience working with individuals with chronic health conditions
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and exercise science
* Familiarity with different exercise modalities and their application to specific health conditions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
* Passion for promoting health and wellbeing through exercise
